૨૨ એપ્રિલ ૨૦૨૫ના રોજ જ્યારે જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીર (Jammu - Kashmir)ના પહલગામ (Pahalgam)માં આતંકવાદીઓ દ્વારા ૨૬ નિર્દોષ નાગરિકોની હત્યા કરવામાં આવી (Pahalgam Terror Attack), ત્યારે આખો દેશ અંદરથી હચમચી ગયો હતો. આજે આ ભયાનક હુમલાની પ્રથમ વરસી (Pahalgam Terror Attack Anniversary) છે. પક્ષભેદ ભૂલીને તમામ રાજકીય નેતાઓ આ હુમલાના પીડિતોને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્પણ કરી રહ્યા છે. વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી (Narendra Modi), ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહ (Amit Shah) સહિતના નેતાઓએ પીડિતોને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ અર્પી હતી અને આતંકવાદ સામે એકજૂથ થઈને લડવાના રાષ્ટ્રના સંકલ્પનો પુનરોચ્ચાર કર્યો હતો.
બરાબર એક વર્ષ પહેલા આજના દિવસે પાકિસ્તાન (Pakistan) સ્થિત લશ્કર-એ-તૈયબા (Lashkar-e-Taiba)ના બંદૂકધારીઓએ જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીરમાં પ્રવાસીઓ પર અંધાધૂંધ ગોળીબાર કર્યો હતો.

વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી (Narendra Modi)એ બુધવારે (૨૨ એપ્રિલ) પહલગામ આતંકી હુમલામાં જીવ ગુમાવનાર ૨૬ લોકોને યાદ કરીને સમગ્ર રાષ્ટ્રનું નેતૃત્વ કર્યું હતું.
વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ એક્સ (x) પર એક પોસ્ટમાં ઉલ્લેખ કર્યો કે, ‘ગયા વર્ષે આજના દિવસે પહલગામના ભયાનક આતંકવાદી હુમલામાં જીવ ગુમાવનાર નિર્દોષ લોકોને યાદ કરું છું. તેમને ક્યારેય ભૂલી શકાશે નહીં. આ દુઃખદ સમયે મારી સંવેદનાઓ તે શોકગ્રસ્ત પરિવારો સાથે છે જેઓ આ નુકસાન સામે ઝઝૂમી રહ્યા છે. એક રાષ્ટ્ર તરીકે, અમે આ દુઃખ અને સંકલ્પમાં એકજૂથ છીએ. ભારત ક્યારેય આતંકવાદના કોઈ પણ સ્વરૂપ સામે ઝૂકશે નહીં. આતંકવાદીઓના નાપાક ઈરાદાઓ ક્યારેય સફળ થશે નહીં.’
